Today I spent the day with my dear friend Nona
The bible states that a 3 stranded cord is not easily broken. We usually think of this as husband,wife & Christ. However I believe this can be also between 2 friends and Christ.
Nona and I both have a strong christian faith, this is the basis of our friendship. When we are together in fellowship we become that 3 stranded cord. Whatever we are going through we are holding one another up in prayer and we are not easily broken, by circumstances that we are facing .
We are like sisters, i.e. we like the same kinds of movies, books, TV shows (murder mysteries, court dramas, physiological thrillers, etc.).

We love coffee, to tease one another, laugh together.
We met 38 yrs ago in church, we had an immediate connection.
It is a true gift to say you have been friends with someone for 38 yrs.
We have raised our kids together, and have walked through many challenging situations that life has brought to us.
She is wise, a wonderful listener, and gives great counsel.
I am going to miss her greatly.

Wow, My dear Friend. You sure now know how to make a broken, wristed girl cry. Your words are beautiful and so true. A part of my heart is leaving with you. Our bond is deep and will never be broken because it’s impossible to sever a cord where the middle strand that holds the other two together is the Holy Spirit. I love you beyond the bonds of casual love….for you, Janette, are of a soothing wind that lifts my wings.
