Moving Day

March 31st

Ugh it is moving day.

We have not had to move for almost 5 months. When you camp at a state, county, or national park , generally you need to move every 2 weeks. Since november we have been able to stay in one spot. Now that warmer weather i.e. camping season is upon us we need to move every 2 wks.

It is a big job, taking down satellite dish, packing away all items inside that can fall off of counters, spill and or break. pick up all area rugs.

It is a great time to deep clean, and the more we move, the smoother it goes. It generally takes about 3 hours to do the move and reset up.

The move went smoothly and we were set up in about 3 hrs.

One of Randy’s college friends called and was in the area, Steve Downey. We had him in for hamburgers, it was great to see him again, and made plans to get together with him and his wife before we leave the area.

It is a hassle to move every 2 weeks but when you are planining on traveling in your 5thwheel, it is very beneficial to live in it a short time ie. 2 months just to get a custom to taking down and putting up.

We have taken off cabinet doors, fan blades, and pulled one slide off of its track, because of an apron.

Also by living in it you get to know well how everything works before you start on a long road journey.
